For the second year in a row, Delaware Audio Visual proudly served as a Silver Sponsor for the annual Mardi Gras fundraiser hosted by Delaware Technical Community College’s George Campus in Wilmington, Delaware.
The event, inspired by the spirit and energy of New Orleans’ Mardi Gras celebration, brings together local businesses, community members, and supporters for an evening focused on one shared goal: helping students succeed.
Proceeds from the event directly support the Delaware Tech Educational Foundation, providing scholarships and financial assistance for students attending the George Campus. These funds help cover essential costs such as tuition, books, supplies, and even childcare, removing barriers that often stand in the way of students pursuing their education.
While Delaware Tech receives state funding and generous support from alumni and donors, there is still a critical gap between available funding and student need. Events like this play a vital role in closing that gap and creating opportunities for those working toward a better future.
As a Silver Sponsor, one of the highest participation levels for the event, Delaware Audio Visual joined a select group of organizations committed to making a meaningful impact in the local community. The sponsorship included a hosted table, allowing members of our team and their guests to attend, connect, and support the cause together.

Supporting Students, Strengthening Our Community

Overview
The Angry Orchard AV system at the Cider House in Walden, New York was designed to support a dynamic, multi-space guest experience built around movement, atmosphere, and sound.  Guests flow between two interior levels, outdoor gathering spaces, and seasonal event areas, shifting naturally from relaxed tastings to high-volume events throughout the year.
Boston Beer Company partnered with Delaware Audio Visual to design and deliver a venue-wide AV platform that would support daily service, announcements, tastings, and live events while maintaining a consistent, immersive “house sound” across the entire property.
The Challenge
This wasn’t a typical distributed audio project. The building’s open architecture, wood finishes, and varied acoustics created an environment where simply adding coverage wouldn’t solve the problem.
The real challenge was consistency, creating an experience that felt intentional everywhere guests moved, while remaining easy for staff to operate and dependable for remote IT support.
From the beginning, the system needed to:

Designing the Experience First
Rather than starting with equipment specifications, the project began by defining what the space should sound like. A listening evaluation aligned stakeholders around tonal balance, clarity, and overall feel before final system direction was established.

The Solution: A Fully Integrated Zoned Platform
Consistent Sound Across Every Space
The core indoor system is built around Community Desono architectural loudspeakers from Biamp, selected to maintain consistent voicing while tailoring coverage and output to each zone.

Outdoor gathering areas are supported with nine One Systems 106.HTH loudspeakers, strategically distributed across the property to maintain consistent coverage in key exterior guest areas. Their deployment includes:

Their weather-resistant design made them ideal for exposed conditions while helping extend the same intentional guest experience beyond the building itself.
Zoning Designed Around Real Use
In a venue like Angry Orchard, turning the system up is rarely the answer; control is.
Fully zoned architecture allows staff to tailor sound levels and sources by area while maintaining a cohesive experience as guests move throughout the property.
The result is a system that adapts naturally to the day’s flow rather than requiring constant adjustment.
DSP, Control &amp; Infrastructure
A networked architecture built around Q-SYS DSP provides centralized routing, tuning, and control across all zones. Staff-facing interfaces allow quick adjustments while preserving system safeguards for consistency and reliability.
A fully hardwired design eliminated reliance on Wi-Fi behavior and prevented music dropouts that disrupt the guest experience.

How Delaware Audio Visual Helps Power an Iconic Boardwalk Experience
If you’ve ever been to the Wildwood boardwalk, you already know the Wildwood tram car &#8211; you don’t need an explanation, you recognize it instantly.
Before you even see the tram car coming, you hear it.
It’s part of the rhythm of the boardwalk. Generations of visitors have grown up with it, and for many, it’s as much a part of Wildwood as the rides, the ocean, and the lights that line the shore.
What most people don’t realize is that behind that familiar experience is a system that has quietly evolved over decades to keep up with constant use, harsh coastal conditions, and the expectations of a modern operation.
The Wildwood Tram Car Experience
The Wildwood tram cars themselves trace their origins back to the 1939 New York World’s Fair and have been operating on the boardwalk since 1949. Today, the system is managed by the Wildwoods Boardwalk Special Improvement District, ensuring that this unique piece of history continues to serve both residents and visitors.
For many years, Delaware Audio Visual has played a role behind the scenes, supporting and refining the onboard audio systems used throughout the tram vehicles.

The challenge is straightforward, but demanding: 
Deliver consistent, clear audio playback in an environment defined by heavy daily use, outdoor exposure, and constant salt air.
And it has to work every time.
That focus has led to multiple generations of custom-built audio control enclosures, each one building on the last. The latest version, now in its third revision represents a significant step forward in refinement, presentation, and serviceability.
While earlier versions were purpose-built and proven in the field, the current design takes a more integrated approach. Internal components are mounted using dedicated custom supports, with improved cable routing and a more unified enclosure layout. The result is a cleaner, more organized system that maintains the durability the application demands while enhancing long-term serviceability.
Everything inside the enclosure is intentionally designed not just to function, but to hold up under real-world conditions and make maintenance as straightforward as possible.
As the tram system continues to evolve, new tow vehicles are being introduced for the 2026 season, bringing updated performance and efficiency to the operation. Alongside these upgrades, the latest version of the Delaware Audio Visual voice box has been developed to support the next generation of tram cars while preserving the simplicity that operators rely on.
At its core, the system remains exactly what it needs to be: 
a driver presses a foot switch, and the message plays consistently, clearly, and without complication.
It’s a small part of the overall experience.

The Rail Haus Beer Garden in Dover, Delaware has become a standout destination—thanks in part to the new Rail Haus Beer Garden videowall. As a result, the space now offers a much richer and more engaging guest experience. The display sits above the outdoor Kitchen and remains clearly visible even in direct sunlight. Because of this, it has quickly become a signature feature of the venue. Furthermore, the videowall helps transform the Beer Garden into a true open-air entertainment environment.
<h2 data-start="1457" data-end="1499">A Clean, Weather-Ready Installation</h2>
To ensure the videowall blended seamlessly into the Beer Garden’s architecture, Delaware Audio Visual worked closely with Planar’s technical team and the installation specialists at Eastern Sign. Together, the teams created a clean, secure, and weather-ready mounting solution. The structure was designed to enhance the space rather than distract from it. In addition, the final installation looks as though it was always meant to be part of the venue.
<h2 data-start="1970" data-end="2029">Powerful Outdoor Audio for a Better Guest Experience</h2>
The visual upgrade is supported by a powerful outdoor audio system. The design includes Community ENTASYS ENT-220 column line-array speakers, Biamp Desono EX-S10 subwoofers, and a LEA Professional 704D amplifier. As a result, the system provides clear speech, rich music playback, and consistent coverage across the patio. Moreover, it performs well during sports events, live gatherings, and everyday operation.
Behind the scenes, the new solution integrates smoothly with Rail Haus’s existing equipment. This includes an Allen &amp; Heath AHM-32 digital mixer and a Crestron 4&#215;2 HDMI matrix switcher. Consequently, staff can route sources, control audio, and manage the system without additional training or complexity.

Our technicians arrived onsite ready to deploy a reliable, intuitive talkback and monitoring solution tailored specifically for the demands of clinical education. Each room was equipped with a Biamp TesiraFORTÉ X400 DSP, paired with Desono C-IC6 ceiling loudspeakers and a Parlé TCM-XA beam-tracking microphone to ensure crystal-clear audio capture and playback throughout every scenario.
At the observer and instructor station, we integrated a Biamp NPX G1040 paging station and a Biamp KUBO 3 reference speaker, giving faculty full control and real-time communication capabilities during simulations.
A key element of this project was the implementation of the Biamp Canvas interface, operated directly from the client’s PC. With simple, intuitive controls for power, volume, and room functions, instructors can now focus more on training and less on managing equipment—creating a more seamless and realistic simulation environment for students and trainees.
Our team completed the installation with the precision and care that healthcare environments demand—clean cable management, optimized DSP tuning, and thorough verification of every audio pathway. The result is a set of training rooms that sound exceptional, function effortlessly, and elevate the overall learning experience.
Tidal Health now has a reliable, easy-to-use communication system that supports clearer instruction, more immersive simulations, and better outcomes for the medical professionals they train.
