AV Outside Sales Representative
Responsibilities

Prospect, develop, and close new business with commercial clients in targeted verticals.

Meet with clients onsite to assess needs and propose AV system solutions including displays, sound systems, video conferencing, digital signage, control systems, and more.

Prepare and deliver professional proposals, presentations, and system design recommendations.

Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and meet or exceed monthly sales goals.

Work closely with design and engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically sound and meet client expectations.

Stay up to date on new AV products, manufacturers, and technology trends.
-
Develop long-term client relationships and provide ongoing account support as needed.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
Requirements

2+ years of experience in outside sales, preferably in the AV, IT, low-voltage, or technology industries.

Strong knowledge of audio and video systems, components, and signal flow (displays, speakers, microphones, video conferencing, control systems, etc.).

Ability to understand system drawings and communicate technical solutions to non-technical clients.

Comfortable conducting site surveys and working with project managers and engineers.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Self-motivated, organized, and goal-driven.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience selling AV solutions to verticals such as corporate, education, government, or hospitality.

Familiarity with manufacturers such as Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, Shure, LG, and others.

CTS or other AV industry certifications are a plus.
-
Understanding of IP networking as it applies to AV systems is a bonus.
